The Shinto Dining Chair was inspired by the Torii Gate found at Japanese Shinto shrines. Its design invites you to pause, bring loved ones together, and find peace in the present moment.

The natural colored leather was inspired by the 13th century art of "Kakishibu," a traditional Japanese dying technique that pulls color from the tannins in fermented persimmons.

Expertly handcrafted with a quarter inch leather wrapping, this chair's seat will develop a beautiful patina and conform to the wooden frame over time, reminiscent of beloved vintage pieces.

The thick leather, along with the handcrafted frame and a curved backrest, offer exceptional comfort and an eye-catching sense of style.
