How We Do Sales
Mindful markdowns. Purposeful partnerships.
At Japandi Supply House, our approach to sales is guided by intention—not urgency. We work with makers and brands around the world who share our belief in calm, sustainable, and beautifully minimal living. That includes how we offer products—and how we offer promotions.

Why We're Different
Unlike traditional retailers, we don’t run site-wide clearance events or mass markdowns. That’s because:
- We don’t overstock or overproduce.
- We don’t chase trends or push excess inventory.
- We don’t mark up just to mark down later.
Instead, we only offer discounts that are aligned with our brand partners—when they’re on sale, we reflect that on our site. It's all part of a slower, more conscious way of doing business.
Every product you find on our site meets the standards of the Japandi lifestyle: minimalist design, natural materials, neutral tones, and comfort-first functionality.
We work with partners in Japan, Scandinavia, North America, Europe and beyond. Each relationship is different—and that impacts how sales are structured:
- Direct from the Maker /
Some products ship directly to you from the brand—no excess packaging, no added warehouse emissions. - Small-Batch + Made-to-Order /
Our furniture partners craft in limited runs, often made when you place your order. - International Partners /
Some products are imported by us in exclusive or small quantities, then sent to your door.
These diverse relationships mean that our costs—and margins—vary by product and brand. That’s why you’ll only see discounts where they’re possible.
