These chairs were hugely popular in the 1950s and 60s and are now modern classics.

Torbjorn Afdal gave Hunter a minimal, fluid and organic frame that sets it apart from other hunting chairs. Simplexity is the word: double-layered saddle leather, matching edge stitching and solid cast brass buckles, all made to last for generations.

Details

Width 627 mm (24.7 in)

Depth 751 mm (29.6 in)

Height 965 mm (38.0 in)

Seat height 398 mm (15.7 in)

Frame Finish: Soaped Oak, White Oiled Oak, Oiled Oak, Smoke Stained Lacquered Oak, Black Lacquered Oak, Oiled Walnut

Upholstery: Saddle Leather (Natural, Black, Cognac)

Adjustable leather belts

Solid cast brass buckles

Designed by Torbjorn Afdal in 1960

Made in Norway; unless in stock, each piece is made to order

Download Product Sheet (PDF)

Designer

Torbjorn Afdal, Norway (1917-1999)

Torbjorn Afdal graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in 1946 and spent his entire career at Bruksbo Tegnekontor, one of Norway's leading furniture design offices for three decades.
