Kayser grew up in a musical family and started a carpentry apprenticeship straight out of middle school. At 15 he drew his first dining room, which went into production at Viken Mobelfabrikk. He graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in 1945 and joined Rastad \u0026amp; Relling Tegnekontor, later also working freelance. Kayser was known for his feel for materials and a rare sense of proportion, and many of his pieces became instant classics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCare\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWipe wood with a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water and wrung out well, then dry. Re-oil oiled finishes 2-3 times a year and re-soap soaped finishes 4-6 times a year, or as needed. Lacquered finishes need only a damp wipe. Keep out of direct sun and away from radiators and stoves, and use a humidifier if indoor humidity drops below 30%.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVacuum regularly and brush the long fleece with the included brush to prevent tangles.
